Home

Senator Espero is the son of Victor and Paulina Espero originally from the Philippines. His father is retired from the U.S. Navy and his mother is a retired nurse. Senator Espero was born in Yokosuka, Japan at the U.S. Naval Base in 1960. He grew up on the east coast and west coast of the United States, Cuba, and Italy. He graduated from Seattle University in 1982 and moved to Hawaii the same year.

Senator Espero has lived in Ewa Beach, Hawaii since 1989. His private sector background is in finance and property management. He also worked 8 years for Mayor Frank Fasi being in charge of the Oahu's Neighborhood Commission which services the Neighborhood Boards.

Has has two sons, Sean (1984) and Jason (1985).
